Managing a company’s IT system efficiently during periods of growth is a challenge that is familiar to Associate Director (Information and Security), Jonathan Burl, who provides this essential support across Concertus.

A self-confessed “geek”, Jonathan has a passion for problem-solving and anything tech-related. As a teenager he was often found programming and playing on his Amstrad and Acorn Electron. However, these days, it is his young daughters who are the Sonic the Hedgehog and Mario Kart fans.

After studying for A Levels, Jonathan worked his way up through various IT roles to become an expert. In his previous role at a logistics company, he managed all aspects of IT, including telephony, network and server infrastructure at the same time as supporting two acquisitions and a major office move.

When he joined Concertus in July 2016, Jonathan was fully prepared to support the firm’s continued expansion. Jonathan stepped into the newly created role with ambitious goals. His approach involves listening carefully to colleagues’ needs so he can implement bespoke systems and processes to enable them to work better, and which benefit the whole company.

With a proactive and positive attitude, Jonathan takes great satisfaction from connecting people through technology, resolving issues and planning and implementing expansion programmes.
